Millions around the world will celebrate the festivity of Rakshabandhan. Traditionally, it is a ceremony whereby a sister ties a rakhi (thread tied around the wrist) to her brother. The tying of the rakhi symbolises that she accepts, for the duration of her life, his protection against all evil.

But what if everyone could receive permanent protection, not only for this life but until they attain ultimate liberation?

Miraculously, it is something we can achieve! By tying a rakhi with the utmost sincerity to the current living Tirthankar, Lord Simandhar Swami, we create a sacred bond. In doing so, we surrender our life to Him and thus accept His unflinching protection until we attain ultimate liberation.

Thus, during this Rakshabandhan, revel in the worldly festivities but importantly make an inner resolve to forge a sacred bond with the Lord Himself. For in doing so, we are guaranteeing priceless permanent protection throughout our lifetimes until we attain ultimate liberation, moksha.
