Power of Pratikraman

Unleash the Power of Forgiveness by practising Pratikraman

09 September 2021

Universally, the power of granting or receiving forgiveness for ourselves, situations and people is trumpeted. Whether we are granters or recipients of forgiveness - the results are the same: the people involved feel lighter, grateful, motivated and relieved! The atmosphere is filled with joy and we ourselves feel inner tranquillity that dispels our tensions and worries.

And yet, given these tremendous benefits why do we fail to forgive? All too often we conveniently justify not forgiving on the pretext of a "petty" matter, or delude ourselves that we perpetually forgive when in reality we don’t, or we simply fail to grasp the negative impact of our actions on others. Thus, even if we inadvertently knock someone on the ground, or say something hurtful in jest, or rationalise that our harsh actions are warranted, we should ask for forgiveness – even when our ego attempts to justify not doing so.

The act of forgiveness is transformative. This is particularly so if we ask for true repentance using a tool called Pratikraman. The tool, bequeathed to us by Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, an enlightened being and founder of Akram Vignan, a spiritual science, enables us to ask for forgiveness from someone without having to say a single word to that person directly. It is a tool that we can use instantly, simply and one that is guaranteed to spiritually elevate us!

So not just on the days of Paryushan, but every day, every waking moment we should unleash this miraculous tool of pratikraman into our lives – it is absolutely guaranteed to yield results!
