The first ever virtual Bal garba held on Saturday 17 October 2020, was a fun family experience and enjoyed by all. The afternoon started with a live step-by-step demonstration for decorating Aarti thali. This grabbed the attention of a lot of children as they created their own at home.
More importantly, learning about Navratri and importance of Aarti, was not only knowledgeable, but very valuable, especially in a question and answer format. It was great.

Families enjoyed performing the Aarti with the Aarti thalis they had decorated together in the session.

The performances were lovely to watch and entertaining; it got all in the garba & dandiya mood with very lively music. All were ready to dance away, in colourful Navratri costumes and loved being in the comfort of their own home.

The overcrowded garba celebrations can be trying for children, it can be overwhelming and not let them enjoy the celebrations. This virtual garba event worked well for everyone, as it meant all could take it at their own pace.

It’s amazing, how the team managed to bring so much fun and life to the event for all the children with their individual families, in their homes, without crowd.

Overall, it was full of entertainment, very interesting and interactive Virtual Bal Garba celebration.
