Raksha Bandhan

Strengthen the bond with the current living Tirthankar, Lord Simandhar Swami, to receive His protection until we attain ultimate liberation

31 July 2020

The bond between brothers and sisters is unique and one that justifiably merits celebration. Raksha Bandhan literally translates as “bond of protection”. On this day, it is customary to honour our relationship with our siblings with the symbolic tying of a band signifying the intent to mutually protect each other.

What if everyone could receive permanent protection – not only for this life but until they attain ultimate liberation? By tying the band to the current living Tirthankar, Lord Simandhar Swami, we surrender our life to Him and accept His unflinching protection until we attain ultimate liberation. We create a sacred bond that secures our next birth under His shelter.

On this day, firmly resolve to follow the guidance of Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the founder of the Spiritual Science, Akram Vignan, to navigate through the worldly obstacles and endless suffering we encounter. He has shown us how to conquer our inner enemies of anger, pride, deceit, and greed such that our next birth is under the shelter of Lord Simandhar Swami. This means we will become free from the cycles of birth and death and attain final liberation.
